Praise for RAX from an Apollo Astronaut

Astronaut Al Worden took time to mention RAX in his address on the 40th anniversary of Apollo 15, which he and two other Michigan Engineering grads were crew members of. “I witnessed the radio signals from a little satellite that they put up this morning,” Worden said. “It’s a tenth of a watt signal, but it was a signal. These students are the people that are going to get us to Mars someday.”

Thanks for the encouragement, Col. Worden! Your predictions are already coming true, as one RAX alumnus will be navigating the Mars Science Lab, launching next week, on its 8.5 month journey to Mars. You can read the full article, commemorating the all-Michigan alumni Apollo 15 crew, here.
